Weekly Notes from 4th Grade
We will have our Reading Scantron testing on Tuesday morning. Please make sure that your student is well rested and has a good breakfast to perform to the best of his or her ability.
We are studying Unit 7 in Vocabulary this week. Test on Friday. Remember www.vocabularyworkshop.com. We started Unit 7 on last Wednesday, and we have been practicing using the vocabulary words in class so the students can be accurate when they have their test. Did you notice that I used a vocab word “accurate”?
We are now learning both Science and Social Studies. This will make the students more prepared for 5th grade. So, in Science, we are in Chapter 12. Social Studies will continue, and we are getting ready to start Lesson 3 Chapter 3: A Land and It’s People. Social Studies test will probably be Jan. 31st. Science test will be the first week in February.
English we are finishing Chapter 11 more with helping verbs. We will have a quiz on Thursday, then we start reviewing common nouns, proper nouns, and abbreviations.
